• Your Excellency President Masisi, First Lady Madame Masisi
  • Leaders of the High Institutions of the Great Country of Botswana,
  • Ministers
  • Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen

I want to say from the outset how very happy and grateful we are, for the very warm hospitality we received since our arrival. My delegation and I, the First Lady of Rwanda, have been well received and very comfortable in Botswana. We thank the very warm hospitality of Batswana in general

Mr President, I want to thank you for your generosity and your friendship, and for allowing this collaboration to be deepened between our two countries, Botswana and Rwanda.

On our part, we promise to work very hard, and in a very friendly manner, with yourself Mr President, and the team that supports you, and the people of Botswana.

Every one of you is most welcome to Rwanda, whenever any of you come to our country, you will be made to feel at home, and that you are among brothers and sisters.

I also want to thank President Masisi for what we have been doing together already, and what more we can do in support of each other, our two countries working together for the benefit of our continent, and the people of Africa. The President has already mentioned a number of things on which we shall be working together, in the days and years to come.

Mr President, I want to state here that we go back home with the satisfaction that our visit has been very fruitful, and we will be looking forward to welcoming you to our country. As we depart I’ll also be thinking about visiting Botswana again, staying longer, and interacting more with our friends, brothers, and sisters.

Thank you very much.
