At the invitation of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President Kagame visited the capital of the United Arab Emirates over the weekend.

While in Abu Dhabi, President Kagame met and held discussions with Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other government officials on issues related to bilateral cooperation and investment.

President Kagame also visited Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s multifaceted renewable energy company, where he received a brief on the efforts of the United Arab Emirates and Abu Dhabi to develop renewable energy solutions and clean technology.

After President Kagame’s visit at Masdar, Dr. Sultan Ahmad Al Jaber, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, said:

 

“We are pleased to welcome His Excellency, President Paul Kagameto Masdar. His visit contributes in familiarizing the world with the progress achieved by UAE in the field of renewable energy and clean technology. And in line with the directions of the Emirati leadership, we welcome exploring areas of possible collaboration with the like-minded countries. Such partnerships will encourage the global efforts aiming to secure the energy security, achieve sustainable development, and develop solutions to mitigate climate change”.

President Kagame’s visit was aimed at exploring avenues for business, cultural and social exchanges with Abu Dhabi.
