President Kagame today received in his office Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye, a prominent Nigerian evangelist who heads the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The Pastor is in the country to inaugurate the church’s Rwanda headquarters and run a series of evangelical rallies.
Speaking to the press after meeting President Kagame, Pastor Adeboye said: “We visited the President to assure him that we are praying for the country and its people. The Redeemed Christian Church of God has a network of more than 140 missions all over the world including here in Rwanda. We want to show people the way to heaven”.
Minister Musoni said that the Pastor told the President that the Church is happy with the freedom enjoyed by the church as it carries out its evangelical duties in the country:”the church has several projects in Rwanda including provision of scholarships to vulnerable children and supporting income generating activities for women”.
