President Kagame on Friday received Manoj Kohli, CEO and Joint Managing Director of Bharthi Airtel and assured him of Rwanda’s support in strengthening the company’s operations.
The CEO thanked President Kagame for his support and said Airtel would launch their second phase in July, when they will be introduce a 3G network and roll out their coverage, in addition to other corporate and social activities.
Airtel officially launched its operations on March 31st as the third telecommunications company in Rwanda and has so far acquired more than 45,000 subscribers. Airtel also operates in East Africa, DRC and Zambia.
Manoj Kohli was accompanied to the meeting by Jayant Khosla, CEO Airtel Anglo- Phone Africa and Paluku Marcellin, Country Manager, Airtel Rwanda.
